I got up in the morning and looked outside. It was cold, and there was ice hitting the window. I had to run 8 miles on the treadmill. I was hoping to run outside as I am terribly slow running inside. I started off easy, and I stayed there for a while and when I hit the two mile mark I was already bored with it. It's going to be a long winter. I started to imagine that I was actually in a race, and I half closed my eyes and tried to think about all of the bloggers possibly running at the same time. I turned the speed up a bit, and before I knew it I had pushed up over the 4 mile mark. Just over halfway. I then thought about some of the lucky bloggers who don't have to deal with the ice and the snow and how nice it would be to be running outside, again I turned the speed up a bit. I knew that I wasn't setting any records, but I really didn't want to push it much faster. I finally finished up with a final time of 1:22:44, and I wasn't completely disappointed. That's about the time that I estimated on the treadmill. I am always slow on that thing. I'm looking forward to reading some of the other reports. Even though I didn't get to run outside, I still had fun with this virtual race, and I hope that we get together to do another one real soon. I'll need all the motivation that I can get to keep getting on that stupid machine. I hope that everyone had a great run!!

Great job! How about 10 on the 10th--of February?
vickie---that might be a possibility. :-)
sorry I was one of those running outside! Too bad it was pouring down cats and dogs on me! if you were on Nike+ we could race virtually! ;)
WHOOO HOOOO!!! Great job!! And on the treadmill no less!! That is brutal!
I am impressed with anyone who can stand the treadmill for that long.
I coudln't even make it to 3 miles this morning (2.75 and I hopped off in complete boredom).
Dude, you would have to turn that treadmill up pretty high to beat this blogger. Like past 5 mph. HA!
I'm sorry, didn't know that you had participated. I will link you to my results post. Way to gut it out on the treadmill.
Nancy
Nice job.
Sorry tagged you again--see my blog for details
Great job! I didn't know about this but I couldn't have run anyway since I'm in marathon recovery mode. I'll join in on the next one though!
Way to crank out 8 miles on the tm. Nice pace too. :) Keep it up!
